Faye Sykes is one of the nation’s experts on Social Security benefits and retirement income planning, as well as a financial advisor for individuals, couples and families. She enthusiastically serves a wide variety of business and personal clients through her two firms, Scarlet Oak Financial Services and Social Security Benefit Planners as CEO, with a focus on delivering comprehensive financial planning, wealth management and Social Security benefits planning services.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Faye eventually ventured over to New York, where she graduated from Syracuse University before moving to the Atlanta area. She is a certified National Social Security Advisor (NSSA), a investment advisor representative with Series 66 certification and a licensed Health, Life and Disability Insurance Agent, with additional certification in long-term care planning (CLTC).
A natural communicator and networker, Faye is passionate about educating others on financial issues and helping individuals design workable financial solutions that fit their lives, whether they are business owners or stay-at-home moms. She frequently speaks to groups of all sizes on topics related to financial planning, retirement planning and Social Security.
When not helping clients or immersing herself in the nuances of Social Security, Faye is busy exploring the many opportunities for entertainment in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. She is a frequent and enthusiastic traveler who loves to visit new places, both in the U.S. and abroad. Faye is also a dedicated volunteer, supporting her community through organizations that include the Tap Out, Decatur Business Association, Decatur Arts Alliance, Senior Connections, Life Enrichment Senior Services and Kiwanis Club. She has previously served as president of Atlanta Independent Women’s Network.

Morgan is the COO of Social Security Benefit Planners. With extensive operations and management background, she keeps our plans moving along so our clients can boost their Social Security income. Coordinating programs for group benefits, financial advisors and CPA’s and individual planning for individuals and couples keep Morgan busy. Besides being an operations guru Morgan is a French-trained chef and likes long walks with her chihuahua Bandit.
Becky, Retirement Planner
Becky is a Retirement Planner with Social Security Benefit Planners, where she researches options for clients to help them maximize their benefits. Searching and digging for the hidden and unknown is in Becky’s blood. She works with Emory University as a Senior Research Specialist, and when not sleuthing for clients, she and her boyfriend love to explore the U.S. through two weeks-long road trips. “It’s exciting to come across something you didn’t know about before, whether that’s for a client or while driving the highway. There’s so much out there if you take the time to look.”
Susan, Retirement Planner
Susan is a Retirement Planner with Social Security Benefit Planners in Atlanta, GA. She has a knack for uncovering hidden options and helping gather every needed bit of information so that clients don’t miss out on any relevant benefits. In her spare time, Susan enjoys live music, traveling, dabbling in genealogy and learning to play the ukulele.
Ann, Retirement Planner
Ann helps guide clients at Social Security Benefit Planners through the maze of choices, assisting them to find their best strategy for maximizing the benefits they receive in retirement. She is also an attorney, bringing a keen eye for detail not often found in the Social Security scene. When not focused on serving clients, Ann’s attention turns to her two personal passions: working to make life better for animals as a dedicated volunteer with Atlanta area dog rescue organizations and training and competing as an Ironman (make that Ironwoman) athlete.
